Julep New Years Mystery Box

I know I am a bit behind on my reviews but its the holidays! This was my first order from Julep, I am not really a Polish Girl ( I paint my toes all the time but I prefer just a french mani on my fingers) so this monthly sub really doesn't interest me THAT much, but the Value that they advertised was almost too good to pass up. For $19.99 the promised a value of $100- $500.00 and a chance to win a mini ipad, now apparently from what I have discovered that advertising was a BIT misleading as there was only 1 box with a value of $500 and that was the one that contained the mini ipad, all the other boxes was around $100-125 RETAIL prices but since most of the girls who ordered are Mavens (monthly subbers) their value was actually less as they get a discount on all orders from Julep. I received 3 remover pads, 2 hand scrub packets ( I have heard great things!), pedi creme, blue glitter pot (maybe I will have to check out nail art), and 6 polishes

Golden Tote - December Tote and Accessory Tote

I am late posting this once again you will have to forgive me the Holiday Season was a bit crazy!!

Once again I LOVED both of the Totes I received, and I truly cannot wait till the next sale as this may be my favorite sub of all time!

I haven't had a chance to take some great pictures so I have grabbed a few off Golden Totes Website

My first Choice in the 149/ Tote was

This Gorgeous Lace Cami Dress

Description from the website says

"This spaghetti strap lace dress is an essential in everyone's wardrobe especially for the upcoming Holiday Season. Dress it up with heels and beads or simply wear with flats and a cardigan for a more casual look"

I wore this to my new years party with my new favorite boots and a little black sweater, not sure if it's quite dressy enough but I think in spring and summer it will make a great piece for work or dinner. Fit was great!

This AMAZING shirt was my second choice and I have to say like the Aztec sweater from November's tote this will be a much loved piece for me, it fits amazing and can be dress and casual.

I received this shirt, I honestly am not really sure how I feel about this one, I think I need to live with it for a bit, its bolder than my normal taste but that's part of why I love this service. but fit wise its amazing.

The next item is a Puella Maxi dress

I really am unsure how I feel about this item,  the dress itself would be amazing if not for that strange band around the tummy, I like most women feel this is a problem area and am not sure why you would draw attention to that area on purpose? (maybe a future maternity dress?)  but honestly it sort of frightens me I haven't even tried it on!

I Also ordered the Accessory Tote for $49.00

This was an amazing value to me, I received, both the leggings and the sweater shown above (Both pieces I LOVE) a great knit hat, two scarves (1 a chunky purple and grey infinity scarf and another one that I gifted as it wasn't really my style) a great knit hat and a three pack of socks in funky colors and patterns from a company that donates money for each item purchased (I definitively will be purchasing from them again) Will update with the company later.

So for $198 plus shipping, I got 8 Amazing items of clothing and accessories and 2 not really my thing items 1 of which I gifted and the other which I will hold on to for possible future use.

I am really looking forward to the February sale!  I have heard on FB that they are changing the webiste so you can customize your tote more along with making it more personal, doesn't that sound great?

Topbox December 2012

From the posts in the spoiler page I wasn't really looking forward to this box as it seems to be leftovers from this year, though Topbox says you should never get dupes of products you have already received, I know some girls complained that they did. I was kinda hoping that I would get the Chole perfume miniature though. BUT here is the problem, I never received my box...........,and according to the tracking they sent me on December 13, The box was picked up by CP on the 13th for delivery on the 19th but the tracking never moved from the initial pick up stage, I have emailed Topbox and posted to their facebook page, according to an email I received on Monday, they have opened an investigation with Canada Post and once it is determined that I have in fact NOT received my box they apparently will be crediting my CC for the December payment. Now I have a couple of issues with this way of dealing with my complaint 1. You can clearly see from CP tracking that the box was NEVER delivered in fact in never even moved from Mississauga, so why do I have to wait a few more weeks to get this resolved? 2. How long it took them to send me an email with a proposed resolution 3. They have not offered anything to me for the hassle, if I was in their position with how much flak they have received this month, I would have offered some compensation (like an extra item for the next box etc) in order to keep my customers happy, but no go for them. Has this ever happened to you?

December 2012 Beauty Box 5

Now let me start this off by saying I was kind of disappointed in this box, I had originally signed up for BB5 when one of the ladies over on the Beauty Spoiler FB page posted that BB5 was giving out a foundation brush to everyone who signed up for Decembers Box by a certain day and since I have been brush collecting lately I jumped on board!, I saw a few spoilers in the group and the brushes looked very nice and so did the rest of the box, now this is the box I received

Notice whats missing?.....The Brush! I also received a completely different box from what the other girls received and as far as a I can tell from the reactions to my box is that I received a box of older products that others had already received in previous boxes :(

 My box contained Blum Naturals oil absorbing facial tissues 50 sheets $2.99 (FULL SIZE)
Pur-liss pur delicate milk cleanser 1.7 oz (approx value $10.93 / full size 5.6 oz for $36)
BLINC Mascara 0.02 oz (full size 0.21 oz $26)
Rosebud Salve 0.8 oz $7 All Natural Face vegan mineral eye shadow in Peach Ice (product card says 0.07 oz $3.50, product has no markings ) (I do not really like the color with my very pale skin it sort of doesn't look like anything, I am going to try it with some primer to see if that helps)

 All in all good value 3 full size products, 4 of 5 are new to me, and I am excited for all of them aside for the sheets (my skin isn't oily and sheets freak me out lol) but darn it I wanted that brush!!!!
